About this product

Unverified demo target — Orbit brings frequently used connections out from behind a laptop and onto the desk. SD, microSD, USB-C data, and two USB-A ports face forward for drives, cards, and temporary accessories. HDMI, Gigabit Ethernet, the captive host cable, and USB-C power input leave from the rear, directing longer-running cables toward a shelf channel or the back of the workspace.

The aluminum housing is weighted and sits on a broad silicone foot, helping it stay in place when a memory card or cable is inserted. Its USB 3.2 Gen 1 host link provides 5 gigabits per second shared across data devices. The two card slots share one UHS-I controller, so they are used one at a time. HDMI output reaches 3840 by 2160 at 60 hertz only when the host supports the required DisplayPort Alt Mode.

With a suitable external charger, Orbit accepts up to 100 watts and reserves 15 watts for hub operation, leaving up to 85 watts for host pass-through. No charger is included. Graphite and Silver versions share the same labeled port layout and captive 0.8 meter host lead.
